Free: a web gallery for your photos
IPTCgallery turns folders of captioned photos into a web gallery on your own web space. Upload a folder of JPEGs and it is online, with the captions from the photos (IPTC and XMP) shown next to them. No database, no login, no admin area; it needs web space with PHP 8. Download IPTCgallery (.zip; open source on Codeberg), with instructions for installing.
It comes with an upload script for Eikonaut that puts an exported folder online right after the export (details in the download). Or upload the exported folder with an FTP app such as Cyberduck into the “galleries” folder on your web space: the folder name becomes the gallery’s address.
Free: captions on your Astro site
remark-iptc-caption shows a photo’s caption under it on a website built with Astro: caption once in Eikonaut, and every post that shows the photo has it. Free and open source on npm and Codeberg, with instructions.
